Professional Community Management was founded by Michael S. Finley in 1991. Mike started ProCom because, as a member of his own community’s board of directors, he could not find a management company that provided the level of service that they needed. Mike retired in 2021 and sold the business to Scott M. Davis, who has been with ProCom since 2004.
Scott has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, his MBA from Loyola University Maryland, and holds every industry credential, to include the CMCA, AMS, and PCAM. Scott started as an assistant but was quickly promoted to a manager and then to a supervisor in 2009. During his time as a supervisor, Scott developed ProCom’s industry-leading training and development program, streamlined most processes, and oversaw the upgrade and modernization of all IT hardware, software, security, and services.
Mike and Scott always shared a similar vision of what a management company should be. Serving on a board of directors is a thankless job, and the pay is not great! Our primary focus is on helping our boards make good decisions and making their jobs as easy as possible. When we are assigned a task, we get it done. When a homeowner reaches out, they receive a prompt response and are always treated with respect.
